This week Year 2 continued our topic of ‘Flight’ and read the story of ‘Blown Away’. It follows a penguin who gets caught on a kite and is blown away with his friends to a jungle and have to find a way to get home. The story is written as a rhyming poem so we have really enjoyed reading it. In Numeracy, we started learning about 2D and 3D shapes. We spent time counting sides and vertices and also learnt what a vertical line of symmetry is. In Food Tech, we have been trying and testing different types of breads and this week made our own sandwiches. In D&T, we made the mechanism for our Rocket boxes that we have been designing and decorating over the last few weeks. Now our Rockets move up and down!!
