This week is has been all about rhyming and exploring words with similar sounds. We have use the Oi series to work with children and find different rhyming words. The children have loved reading the whole series with us and it’s been great to see that lots of our children own these books too!

In Numeracy we have started to find different ways of representing numbers. This approach may seem slow to begin with but it is important that we give our children a strong understanding of numbers, what they look like and how they can be made. We would encourage you to count with your children and find numbers in the world around you. This can be as simple as talking about numbers on doors and counting stairs!

Afternoons have focused on “All about me”, where your children have had the chance to talk about their likes, dislike and things that make them unique. We have discussed similarities, differences and hobbies.
