We're back after half-term and are ready for a new topic. And some may say we've left the best to last because for the next few weeks we will be studying Ancient Egypt. We've already designed death masks and been introduced to hieroglyphs. The book we're reading is "The Time-Travelling Cat and the Egyptian Goddess" by Julia Jarman and so far we've written to the main character, Topher, to try and persuade him to take in the mysterious stray cat Ka with the ankh symbol on her forehead ...

The rehearsals for the song we're going to sing at the Proms at Paddox celebration on Friday have been beset with delays but we'll be practising hard next week to make sure we're ready. Hopefully we'll see you there!
