Christmas in Year One
Year One have certainly got into the Festive Spirit these last two weeks!
Things have got very Christmassy in Year One recently! On Tuesday we visited St George’s Church for the Christingle service. We learnt all about God and Jesus and made our own Christingle centrepieces to take home.
On Wednesday, KS1 performed their Nativity Play. The children all performed brilliantly and worked really hard to learn all the words and the actions. We thought the play was fantastic and hope all the grown-ups did too!
Year One had a very special visitor on Thursday. He had black boots, a red suit and a long white beard-yep you’ve guessed it…Father Christmas!!! The children were so excited to see him although one child did question whether his beard was real. Of course, we all know that white beards do look slightly different in the North Pole!
All of the Year One team wish all the children and their families and friends a magical Christmas and a very Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing you all back in January!
