Welcome back!

It seems that the first week back after half term has flown by, your children have settled back into their routines and have been taking part in some fantastic learning.

We have started learning traditional tales with the children and they have loved hearing all about the Gingerbread Man. All 3 classes have had the opportunity to act out the story and decorate their own gingerbread man with Mrs Jones. Unfortunately those gingerbread men did run as fast as they could, but were caught, decorated then eaten

In Numeracy we have been discussing one more and one less, using a range of methods to show this in both our book work and Busy Learning. In addition to this, we have also introduced problem solving and reasoning to Reception so that they can start to apply their mathematical understanding to different scenarios.

Also, our 2simple profiles have now gone live, please make sure that you have given your class teacher your email address so that you can take part in sharing some of your child's magic moments. If you have, then you will receive an email inviting you to share pictures with your class teacher. (Please check junk mail/spam as they may be redirected).

Please can you make sure that your child's plastic folder is brought to school every day as we will be changing reading books on Wednesday and new sounds will still be given on Friday.
