It's been a very exciting week in Year 1 this week! On Thursday it was World Book Day and we all came dressed in fantastic costumes. Cat in the Hat and Mary Poppins taught the likes of the BFG, Harry Potter, Little Red Riding Hood and Fantastic Mr Fox amongst many, many others. We started off with a parade in the hall to see each year group's costumes which was great fun.  We then read the book 'The Tale of Georgie Grub' and thought of lots of adjectives to describe him. After that, we thought about what might happen next in the story after the binmen came to take the bins away. We thought of some brilliant endings, thinking about what would happen to Georgie Grub and where he would go.

On Wednesday we went to the church to celebrate Mother's Day. It was a lovely service and we sang beautifully. We hope you enjoyed it if you were able to make it.
