Last week we launched our exciting new topic, The Land Before Time. We received a surprise letter from Terra the T. rex who asked us to search for her precious egg that had been safely tucked away somewhere in the school grounds. We had to carefully follow clues to find its location. We are now taking good care of the egg to keep it safe for Terra.

After finding the egg, we then went on a vocabulary hunt around the playground to begin to learn new keywords for our topic. Working in teams, we had to carefully read the dinosaur footprint definitions and match them to the keywords to reveal a secret dinosaur name!

It was a great start to the year, and we are so impressed with how well the children have settled into Year 2!
