13th - 17th July
Our final week in Year 2!
This week we used our story setting to design and make a scene for a puppet show. We also turned our characters into puppets. We were then able to act out our stories for our friends. The settings and characters looked fantastic.
It was our last forest school session and we had a campfire where we toasted marshmallows (please see our forest school blog for more information.) The food technology children decorated cupcakes which had kindly been baked by Mrs Taylor. They were delicious!
On Wednesday we were able to watch the Year 6 dress rehearsal and thought that the performance was really funny.
Parents please note that children are able to bring their own healthy snacks for break times or can bring 20p - 30p to buy snacks from the tuck shop. A more detailed letter about the changes in Year 3 will follow in September.
We would like to thank Mrs Parker and Mrs Smith for volunteering in Year 2 this year. We have really appreciated all of their help.
We have had a fabulous year in Year 2 and are excited to move on to Year 3 in September. Have a wonderful summer!
