This week has been very different in school. The children have taken part in a range of activities to cover missed learning objectives from previous years as a result of past lock-downs.
Year 6 have had a DT day when they used their textiles skills to sew flags to represent images from the 1960s. The children included pop art, the moon landing, the World Cup victory and Batman in some of their textile flags!
As well as this, they have taken part in various music activities based around the 60s hit, 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough'. They incorporated elements of rhythm and melody to perfect their performance and even added in actions to accompany the words!
Finally, Year 6 have taken part in various art activities, including being 'art detectives', creating a collage and tie-dying. It certainly has been a wild and wacky week — one we're sure they have all enjoyed immensely!
