Our Victorian families enjoyed visiting our class and telling us about their lives and jobs durinng this period.
The sun was certainly shining for our Victorian walk around Rugby. The children learnt about how our town has been influenced by this period in history. Unfortunately the old workhouse was closed so we couldn't leave any of the children there! 😁
Here we are learning more about Queen Victoria! We were looking at how subheadings are used in a non-chronological report.
It is great to see some sunshine again after a long winter! Our Victorians topic is well under way. The children are studying Street Child.
Year 4 launched our new topic this week, the Victorians. Lots of research into this period has gone on from Queen Victoria herself to delicious food.
Here we are presenting our stories to the reception children. We took favourite fairy tales and gave them a twist! Our books were created in the APP Book Creator, which was great fun to use. The reception children certainly enjoyed looking at them!
Picture frames have been completed and the children are very pleased with themselves.
Over the last two weeks we have been designing and making picture frames. We are now masters at using saws and glue guns!
Thank you to all of the parents and carers that came to our service yesterday. Our children read beautifully.
Whilst we say this most days, we were particularly impressed with the variety of characters that we saw on World Book Day. Thank you everyone for going to such great efforts.
