Happy New Year!! We hope you had an enjoyable Christmas and got lots of presents.
I'm In!! The words year 5 craved to hear as they pitched their new inventions, Dragon Den style!
The children were impeccably behaved, as we spent Wednesday, 11th November remembering those who fought to protect our country, showing our respect, observing the minutes silence and expressing our gratitude for the sacrifices people have made.
We have had a busy first week back. We have been starting new topics in Discover, Forest School, Food Technology and Computing, been given our new targets and worked on learning about Henry VIII and the Gunpowder plot!
Last week we enjoyed playing games in Maths - lots of learning was happening too!! The children played the games they created at home to help learn and practise their times tables - some were just as good as Monopoly!!
In Computing, we have been learning about blogs. As a result, Lucy and Luke from 5BH have taken over year 5's blog!!!
This term, in the afternoons we are lucky enough to take part in Forest School, while the other half of our class cook some delicious dishes. As Mr Clememts has already blogged about Forest School; find out what we have been doing in Food Technology below . . .
Part 2: what we did with the elderberry juice from last week...
