For our new World War One topic, we created ‘blackout poetry’ by circling significant vocabulary from a range of texts to form a poem and ‘blacking out’ the rest of the text with war related imagery.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the activity and it was great to see them so enthusiastic about our upcoming lessons.
