Terrific Tudor Day
It's been a busy week in Year 5 - we performed The Highwayman in assembly to Key Stage Two, ahd a visit from Rugby Youth for Chirst and then time-travelled back to the Tudors and spent a day in a Tudor School.
We were taught writing, Maths, RE, Greek and Latin - just like those chidlren who were fortunate enough to go to school were taught. We copied up the Ten Commandments in ink, practised adding and subtracting with Roman Numerals and learned to read, write and speak basic Greek and Latin - Mrs Pettifer was taught Latin when she was at school but Mr Patel is too young so wasn't taught it!
