P.E.
Welcome to the PE curriculum page.
PE is an important part of the curriculum at Paddox. All children receive at least two hours of PE lessons a week, and we offer a range of extra-curricular clubs. We ensure coverage of the PE curriculum through a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Our aim is to offer an innovative curriculum in order to engage and inspire ALL children to develop a love of physical activity.
Curriculum Lessons
Your child is taught by your child's class teacher, myself or Mr Print. Please see below to find out what we will be teaching each year group this term.
PE will be taught in all weathers, so please ensure your child has an appropriate PE kit for inside and outdoor PE in school at all times, including trainers if possible.
We are now a Real Legacy school! Please see the letter below for more information about this new holistic approach to delivering PE.
Each child also has their own personal log in to access the Real PE at Home platform. Please contact Mrs Knight if you haven't received your child's log in.

Marathon Kids
Our pupils just love Marathon Kids! They get the opportunity to run laps of our field or playground and build this up to reach a marathon. They are awarded certificates and badges on achieving milestones. If you haven't already, please give permission for your email to be shared with Marathon Kids, so you can keep track of your child's progress by copy and pasting the form link below.

School Games
Our focus for this school year is PASSION! A trophy will be awarded at the end of the year to a child who demonstrates; 100% effort, putting their heart and soul in to everything they do in PE, never giving up, approaching every opportunity with enthusiasm and positivity, always having a go and caring about what they do and the people around them.
For the Year 2018-19 we were awarded the School Games Gold mark.
Competition Intent
Competition underlies much of PE at Paddox. Our intent is to ensure every child is able to experience competing against themselves through personal best challenges, against their peers during lessons and intra-sport days and representing their school through festivals, tournaments and other organised competitions.
Extra-curricular Clubs
There is a list of sports clubs available and our Extra-Curricular Activities Policy is attached below.
Be sure to check out the PE blog for the latest competition results, updates on weekly PE curriculum lessons and extra-curricular club activities!
Extra-curricular clubs list
Some clubs are popular and have limited spaces. If your child does not receive their first choice, please contact us if you would like us to put them on a waiting list. If your child decides to leave a club, please make sure we know so the place can be offered to someone else. If they do not attend a club for two weeks without an explanation then we will assume they no longer want their place and it will be offered to someone else.
