Vice Chair Sub Committee – Standards (Chair)

My name is Alison Harrison and I have been a community governor at Paddox Primary School since December 2016.   I am vice chair and chair of the standards committee.  My background is in Education and I have been a teacher for over 11 years.  Many years ago, I completed a teaching practice at Paddox and since then I have seen the school has expand and change in many ways.     I have two children at Paddox and during my time as a parent, I have volunteered in many ways including classroom reading and school trips.    My areas of responsibility are Early Years and Curriculum. I believe we have a responsibility to ensure all young people have access to the best possible start in life through a good education and social activities, where each child is encouraged to fulfil their full potential.  I am very proud of the school’s dedication, hard work and reputation as well as its Ofsted report and as a governor I have always tried to offer commitment and enthusiasm to ensure the school continues to develop within its ethos of a caring community where every child matters and is valued for their individuality.
