Role: Co-Opted Governor at Paddox Primary School
I became a Parent Governor at Paddox Primary School in April 2021 and transitioned to a Co-Opted Governor in July 2025.
Before joining the Governing Board, I was involved in the school community through FOPS, the Parent Council and the Parent Traffic and Road Safety sub-committee. My interest in becoming a Governor grew from this involvement, as I wanted to continue supporting the school and contribute to its future direction while helping ensure it achieves its strategic objectives.
I feel passionately that every child should have the opportunity to receive a great education, regardless of their socio-economic background. As someone who received free school meals for part of my childhood, I understand the important role a school can play in supporting children and providing opportunities and enrichment beyond the classroom. I wish for the children at Paddox to feel supported, encouraged and happy in their school environment, enabling them to flourish and achieve their individual best.
In my professional career I have worked with and consulted for commercial organisations across Europe and the Middle East. My experience includes sales, process improvement, cultural change and developing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion strategies.
I am an effective communicator who is naturally curious and not afraid to ask questions. I enjoy working collaboratively with the Board of Governors to help ensure the school continues to provide the best possible environment for its pupils to learn and grow.
